In this workshop we will play upside down and defy gravity by learning the mechanics and physiology of inversion and deceleration. Budokon Yoga at Mojo Fit Studios

The foundation of this style is the Budokon Yoga Primary Series. This series consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The techniques are learned through repetition and precision, the emphasis being on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The purpose of this class is to gain muscular strength, cardiovascular stamina, as well as joint mobility and familiarize the student with the series.

Yoga & Camping Women’s Weekend

July 14-16, 2017
A Super Secret Cabin in Ottertail, MN

I am hosting a ‘beta test’ women’s camping retreat at my family’s cabin in Ottertail, MN, about 1.5 hrs from Fargo. You do not have to stay the whole weekend. There is no cost (this time) besides your time and excitement. We can carpool.
The weekend will include:
• Outdoor/beach yoga classes and meditation
• Retreat-style activities
• Kayaking and paddle boarding
• Camping in TENTS
• Fire pit shenanigans
• Art projects
• Drinks in the Tiki Bar
• Epic Yogi Camper Battle.

Handstands & Arm Balance Basics

Are you stuck, frustrated and ready to break through the fear of inverting off the wall? Do you love to play upside down, defy gravity and transition from posture to posture while inverted? Learn the mechanics and psychology of inversion and deceleration so that you can gain the tools and confidence to play upside down on your mat anytime anywhere.

This workshop is open to all skill levels and is limited to 10 people.

Ashley is a really positive teacher, but she still pushes you to try new things and to work hard. She does a great job of giving you simple things you can do at home on your own to get stronger and more confident. I feel like I finally have a handle on all of the different things that go into doing arms balances that have intimidated me and also a plan for how to finally do them with confidence on my own.

I participated in Ashley’s handstand and arm balances workshop. It was awesome! Ashley taught us several prep poses to build strength and proper alignment for handstand. She tailored her instruction to her students. I feel much more confident working on handstand. Wow!
